The Society will respond to real emergencies outside office hours. Examples include:- serious water leaks, total power failure.

As it is impossible for Contractors to have materials available during the night or at weekends to carry out full repairs, the Society can only ensure that temporary repairs are carried out to ensure that no persons, or the property, are in danger because of the situation. In other words, the property will be made safe and a full repair will be carried out the next working day.

Please note that any breakdowns on heating systems or water supply that occur outside office hours, can only be dealt with the next working day.

Where a tenant has caused the emergency themselves, the Society will send a bill to cover the cost of responding. You will also be sent a bill to cover the cost of responding if the repair you report is subsequently found not to be an emergency.
