Setting up home is often costly, and you may find it difficult to afford essential items of furniture when you first move in.

There are a number of agencies in local authority areas that may be able to assist by providing good quality, used furniture and electrical goods for those in receipt of Income Support. In certain circumstances, the Society can assist by offering incoming tenants new items such as "white goods" and/or "furniture packages", for which an addition to the weekly rent is made.

Your Housing Officer will advise you about furniture projects and other initiative, on request.
