de Montfort Housing Society believes that every resident has the reasonable right to live as they wish, as long as they do not affect the quality of life of other residents. We expect all residents to be tolerant and respectful to the needs and wishes of other residents.
We want to make our estates pleasant and secure places to live, and we will achieve this by working with residents and other agencies to:
- Take seriously all reports of nuisance and anti-social behaviour;
- Respond to such reports quickly, efficiently and sensitively;
- Take appropriate action against those responsible.
A whole range of things can lead to nuisance and/or anti-social behaviour, ranging from minor disputes to more serious and complicated issues. We will initially encourage and help residents to resolve their differences themselves; however, we will also get involved and work actively with residents and other agencies to tackle problems where the nuisance or anti-social behaviour is serious and persistent.
