Linx Homechoice offers a choice-based lettings system to gain access to affordable rented homes in Lincolnshire. The website is available at www.linxhomechoice.co.uk.

Update: The current bid cycle will remain open until 5.1.09 as the offices of New Linx Housing Trust will close on 24th December 2008 at 12 noon and remain closed until 5th January 2009.  During this period there will be no-one available to deal with any problems you may encounter with bidding through the website.  If you are unable to bid through the website, please e-mail your bid to linxhomechoice@newlinxhousingtrust.co.uk giving your name, date of birth, reference number and details of the properties (max. 3) you wish to bid for.  Thank you.

Under the Linx Homechoice scheme, available properties are advertised and eligible applicants 'bid' (express their interest) for them. Applications are banded in accordance with housing need and generally the highest banded eligible applicant who has bid for a property is likely to be successful and receive an offer, subject to the Company's Lettings Policy.

The scheme is being used for properties to be let to New Linx Housing Trust waiting and transfer applicants. This will amount to around 25% - 30% of available properties. New Linx Housing Trust has to offer a certain percentage of its properties to Local Authorities in Lincolnshire, for them to nominate tenants from their waiting lists. The exact percentage varies from one council to another, but the average is around 70% - 75%.
