When you moved into your accommodation you were given an inventory sheet, which you should have completed and returned to the office, especially in respect of any marks or damage already existing in your room or flat. If you haven’t done this already please do so immediately so that you will not be recharged at the end of the tenancy for damage that was already present.

But be warned ... you will be charged for any damage that occurs in your flat or room during your tenancy!

If you have a digital camera you may wish to take digital photos of any pre-existing damage, stains or cracks (with date stamped shots if possible) and copy them on to a CD. This will provide an even safer way of avoiding later recharges.
