LNHA’s Board of Management normally consists of around 14 people drawn from all sections of the community. Members are volunteers, receiving no payment for the time and effort they put into helping to manage the Association.
Recruitment to the Board attempts to achieve a balance of people representative of the Leicester community in terms of race, gender, beliefs, economic status, ages, etc.

Current Membership
- Sylvia Canetti is a former lecturer in Entymology. She is one of the longest serving members of the Board (since 1968) and brings long experience and common sense to the Board’s work.
- Pratep Jethwa has been on the Board since 1994. He has expertise in health and safety issues and currently works in the NHS.
- Carol MacDonald is the only elected member who is also a long standing tenant of the Association. She brings to the Board a knowledge of the every day reality of being an LNHA tenant. Formerly a co-opted Tenants’ Representative she was elected to the Board in 2004.
- Bhaljinder Mann is a legal consultant. He has been on the Board since 2003 and brings a high level of knowledge of the law to the Board.
- Liam Morris, Chair. Liam is a teacher of students with special educational needs. He has been on the Board since 1992.
- Graham Nunn, Vice-Chair. Graham is the proprietor of a local printing company. He is a long-standing member of the Association having been on the Board since 1978. He brings business awareness and experience to the Board.
- Sue Rogerson-Williams has been a long-standing member of the Association and her most recent spell on the Board started in 2005. Her expertise lies in supported housing.
- Yusuf Sidat works for a local accountancy firm as an accounting technician. He has been on the Board since 2000 and brings knowledge of matters financial.
- Tom Wilson, Vice Chair. Prior to retirement, Tom worked for several local housing associations in a variety of roles. He has been on the Board since 2003.
- Rak Mistry is a co-opted member. He works for De Montfort University Student Union.
In addition to these members it is normal to co-opt two representatives of tenants onto the Board.
