Here is a summary of our current IBFN projects in progress:
- New Linx: Housing Options Service - A partnership project with ELDC to provide a central point of contact for a network of practical services to enable elderly vulnerable, isolated, and disabled residents to continue living safely and independently in their current homes for as long as they wish.
- Leicester Newarke: Beta Project Training DVD - The Beta Project is semi-supported accommodation for 5 tenants with learning disabilities. The aim is to provide staff with the tools to teach and reinforce house rules, inform tenants how to live independently and safely and give them skills to live in harmony with one another.
- de Montfort: Sponsorship - Sponsorship of the Oadby and Wigston Owls boy football kit.
- New Linx: Youth Inclusion Project - A partnership pilot project with Wolds Learning Network to work with young in our communities. The project will provide them with the skills and knowledge to become socially responsible young people, offering opportunities for self improvement and possible future employment. The benefit to New Linx will be future tenants who have the correct attitudes and skills to sustain a tenancy. £10,000 funding has been obtained from the Learning and Skills Council toward this project.
